Bangkok, November 1, 2024 – Thaicom Public Company Limited, a leading satellite and space technology company, represented by Mr. Patompob Suwansiri, Chief Executive Officer and executives received SET Awards 2024 in the “Highly Commended Sustainability Awards” category for Sustainability Excellence from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). Thaicom has received this award in the sustainability category for the second year in a row after receiving the Commended Sustainability Awards in 2023. This significant achievement reinforces its commitment to developing space tech services to foster sustainable development.

This latest award recognizes Thaicom’s success in developing the ‘CarbonWatch’ platform, part of Thaicom’s Earth Insights services, utilizing satellite technology and AI to calculate carbon sequestration in forests. This platform is also Thailand’s first carbon credit platform certified by TGO or the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (public organization) and Thaicom will extend its initial partnerships with public-private sector to propel Thailand towards carbon neutrality and net zero greenhouse gas emissions.

This year, Thaicom also achieved an excellent corporate governance rating of 5 stars in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies conducted by the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) for 12 consecutive years (2013-2024). This achievement reflects Thaicom’s strong commitment to the company’s sustainable growth in all aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as well as developing space technology solutions to enhance a better life and encourage the sustainable development of the country across several industries.
