IPSTAR Company Limited was established in 2001 to operate and distribute Thaicom 4 (IPSTAR) satellite transponders lease. The company also provides sales and marketing activities for IPSTAR products and services. In order to implement IPSTAR services over 14 countries, IPSTAR Company has streamlined processes in place in order to work efficiently with its customers and partners. Additionally, IPSTAR Company continues to form strong alliances with prospective partners in Asia-Pacific markets such as Thailand, India, China, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia, etc. These include technical partners/ representatives, content providers and other downstream resellers.

The subsidiaries of IPSTAR Company include IPSTAR Australia Pty Ltd., which operates the IPSTAR gateway and provides broadband services in Australia; IPSTAR New Zealand Ltd., which operates the IPSTAR gateway in New Zealand; and IPSTAR DO BRASIL.

Other Thaicom subsidiaries that are related to IPSTAR business include: Spacecode LLC in the US, which provides engineering, telecommunication technology and electronic services; Star Nucleus Co., Ltd. was formed to provide broadband technology compatible with the IPSTAR satellite; IPSTAR International Pte., Ltd. and IPSTAR Global Services Ltd. are IPSTAR marketing companies.
